HEI-CloudEarthInnovation

Das Department Energie & Umweltmanagement und das Department Wirtschaft der Fachhochschule Burgenland sind Teil des Projekts CloudEarthi. Ziel des Projekts ist es, Entrepreneurship und Innovationen unter Studierenden und Mitarbeiter*innen aus naturwissenschaftlichen Studienrichtungen zu fördern. 

Im Rahmen des Projekts entwickelt das Konsortium ein Programm, das Interessierte an die Grundregeln des Entrepreneurships heranführt, ihnen zeigt, worauf sie achten müssen, wenn aus einer Idee eine wirtschaftliche Aktivität wird und wie sie Nachhaltigkeit, Kreislaufwirtschaft, Big Data und AI so nutzen können, dass ihre Ideen auch im internationalen Wettbewerb bestehen können. Das Konsortium, bestehend aus fünf Hochschulen und einem Startup/Scaleup Accelerator, vereint ein breites Spektrum an Expertise, das von Entrepreneurship, über Nachhaltigkeit, Big Data und AI bis hin zu Innovationsfähigkeit reicht. Gemeinsam nutzen sie sowohl die hauseigenen Kompetenzen als auch die jeweiligen Netzwerke, um das aus dem Projekt entstehende Programm zur Steigerung der Innovationsfähigkeit zu entwickeln und auszurollen.

Das Projekt wird gefördert aus Mitteln der HEI-Initiative des EIT : Innovation Capacity Building for Higher Education. Diese neue Initiative des Europäischen Innovations- und Technologieinstituts (EIT) zielt darauf ab, die unternehmerische und innovative Kapazität von Hochschulen zu unterstützen und die Innovationsbedürfnisse der einzelnen Hochschulen und deren Stakeholder zu ergänzen.

HEI-CloudEarthInnovation

CloudEarthi supports students and employees from scientific fields in the development of innovative approaches from their respective areas of specialisation and provides them with basic business knowledge that makes it easier for them to go from idea to innovation.

The Department of Energy & Environmental Management and the Department of Economics at Burgenland University of Applied Sciences are part of the CloudEarthi project. The aim of the project is to promote entrepreneurship and innovation among students and staff from natural science degree programmes.

As part of the project, the consortium is developing a programme that introduces interested parties to the basic rules of entrepreneurship, shows them what they need to pay attention to when turning an idea into an economic activity and how they can use sustainability, the circular economy, big data and AI in such a way that their ideas can also survive in international competition. The consortium, consisting of five universities and a startup/scaleup accelerator, brings together a broad spectrum of expertise ranging from entrepreneurship, sustainability, big data and AI to innovative ability. Together, they are using both their in-house expertise and their respective networks to develop and roll out the programme for increasing innovative capacity that is emerging from the project.

The project is funded by the EIT's HEI initiative: Innovation Capacity Building for Higher Education. This new initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) aims to support the entrepreneurial and innovative capacity of universities and to complement the innovation needs of individual universities and their stakeholders.
