Climate cabin incl. air conditioning

The climate chamber is used to analyse indoor air flows and to create reproducible boundary conditions.

The air in the cabin can be heated, cooled, humidified and dehumidified via the laboratory air conditioning system. This allows defined temperatures and humidity levels to be set for tests. The dew point temperature in the room of below 0°C can be achieved through the use of sportive dehumidification.

In addition to the air conditions, the temperatures of the walls and floor can also be controlled. This allows heat transport processes of building components to be investigated. Such investigations are tests on cooling ceilings and surface heating systems.
