We bring innovation
& research together.
Low-tech approaches for buildings, innovative fuel cells for businesses and hotels, business models for renewable energies, security solutions for information technologies and consumer research are examples of the topics that the employees of Forschung Burgenland play a decisive role in developing together with the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences.
At the kick-off event for the ambitious "Wärmewende Eisenstadt & Umgebung" project, Forschung Burgenland, together with municipalities, the province of Burgenland and stakeholders, announced the start of the three-year collaboration.
The pioneering project aims to transform the heating sector in the climate and energy model region (KEM) "Wärmewende Eisenstadt & Umgebung" into a climate protection-oriented system. In addition to the provincial capital Eisenstadt, this new KEM focus region includes the following 14 neighbouring municipalities.
