The main focus here is on the mobility and flexibility of measured value generation/acquisition - in other words: high-quality data acquisition with devices that are easy to install and remove (mobile) and ideally communicate wirelessly between logger & controller (monitoring).
Monitoring systems based on wireless communication technologies are increasingly being used to record physical variables and environmental conditions of distributed applications and processes. The advantage of high flexibility and simple installation due to the mobile design means that the measurement technology can also be installed during ongoing operations. The architecture of the wireless sensor network consists of the controller, which acts as a network coordinator and records data, the measuring nodes with connected sensors for recording environmental data and software for visualisation and evaluation.
