Despite this fact, such systems are not yet standard equipment in residential buildings. Comparable to the relatively small number of realised systems, there is often insufficient specialist knowledge about these systems and there are technical uncertainties in the planning and operation of the systems.
For this reason, FH Burgenland GmbH has developed a training and test stand for comfort ventilation systems that fulfils the following tasks:
- Demonstration object for explaining and analysing a ventilation system and its components
- Possibility to simulate any air conditions before entering the ventilation unit (e.g. summer / winter case)
- Familiarisation with measurement methods in ventilation technology
The training and test stand enables students as well as experienced specialists to gain initial experience with the subject of comfort ventilation and to analyse specific issues relating to a specific ventilation component.
TECHNICAL DATA:
Training stand
- Currently installed domestic ventilation unit: Ventech LG 250 system from J.Pichler GmbH (passivihaus-certified in accordance with PHI criteria)
- Volume flow: 80 m³/h (stage I) - 160 m³/h (stage II) - 250 m³/h (stage III)
- Heat recovery efficiency: ŋeff, t, WRG = 88 %
- Power efficiency: ŋelec. = 0.3 Wh/m³
Test stand
- Two separate modules (modules 1 and 3) for treating outside air and extract air
- Volume flow: 0 m³/h - 1,000 m³/h (infinitely adjustable)
- Outdoor and supply air treatment: 0°C - 50°C
- Test options for air humidification in domestic ventilation systems
- Installed measuring sensors for: Temperature, relative humidity, pressure differences, volume flow
