Against the backdrop of demographic change, SySI Net Care brings together various stakeholders from the participating regions to develop innovative, practical and scalable solutions for the care of people in need of care and vulnerable individuals, drawing on regional expertise.
Embedding solutions sustainably in the regions
SySI Net Care begins with a comparative analysis to identify key challenges and innovative approaches in social care. The subsequent analysis also covers innovative funding models to establish synergies and systemic collaboration.
The findings form the basis for a structured exchange of practical knowledge and specialist expertise, enabling care experts to learn from and benefit from one another.
Another key focus is on developing practical and nuanced recommendations for local decision-makers and civil society actors. This also includes concrete proposals for bilateral cooperation, for example in coordinating staffing strategies in border regions and in the use of digital solutions.
In addition, a transregional network is being established between various stakeholders – including social enterprises, organisations with a public mandate and public-private partnerships in the Austrian-Slovak border region. A particular focus is on raising the profile of social innovators and their work within the often fragmented social economy ecosystems of both countries.
SySI Net Care is co-funded by the European Union under the INTERREG VI A Slovakia–Austria 2021–2027 programme.
The project began in October 2025 and will run for three years.
