The ARROWHEAD project(http://www.arrowhead.eu/) is an industry-oriented research project with the aim of connecting "legacy equipment" from, for example, the manufacturing industry with components from the information technology sector.

Project running time

01/04/2019 - 30/04/2022

Particular attention is paid to security and the integration of so-called legacy equipment. Legacy equipment is equipment that is not yet suitable for use over the Internet. This is still the case, for example, with test benches in the automotive industry.

The use of modern IT components and methods such as cloud computing increases efficiency in production.

The project involves 81 partners across the EU and has a duration of 4 years. The Burgenland University of Applied Sciences has co-operated with various project partners in the project to contribute to the topics of security and safety. At the same time, the "Cloud and CPS-Security" research centre at Forschung Burgenland benefits from the findings.
