Seamless data exchange between software tools from different manufacturers forms the basis for the interdisciplinary application of BIM. The following key areas are simulated: structural engineering, building physics, building services, user behaviour, etc. The individual simulation results, as well as the improvements identified through them, are directly incorporated into the BIM working method.
Forschung Burgenland is responsible for defining requirements, interfaces to building automation and the experimental evaluation of building performance. The ENERGETIKUM Living Lab is used as an experimental development environment for this purpose.
