As part of the research project, school buildings of the Bundesimmobiliengesellschaft and their ventilation systems are to be evaluated for strengths and weaknesses on the basis of indoor air quality criteria.

A comparison is to be recorded, analysed and evaluated using predefined parameters such as temperature, humidity, CO2, air velocity or weather data over a period of one year. Temporary tracer gas measurements are used to determine the air exchange rate and the volume flows in the room. At the same time, user satisfaction is to be analysed through recurring surveys. The collected and analysed measurement data can be compared with the subjective perception of the users by evaluating the user surveys.
