The aim is to facilitate applied research-orientated knowledge and market opportunities for companies in the region.

Acronym

CAPACON

Project running time

01/04/2017 - 30/06/2019

To all innovative companies: Invitation to the Energy Management System (EMS)

All companies that have their products in the areas of EMS, energy generation, storage or consumption systems and would like to integrate and test their products as part of energy flexibility services are invited to join us.

AIM of the project: To improve the innovation capacity of companies to develop advanced, efficient and smart products. The project has already established an energy management system (EMS) with research institutions in Austria and Slovenia.

HOW TO INTEGRATE AND TEST?

The project is focussed on the areas of energy conversion and energy management in Austria and Slovenia. The aim is to facilitate applied research-orientated knowledge and market opportunities for companies in the region. For the first time, practitioners and researchers from major R&I institutions will co-operate. They will contribute their knowledge and practical experience from future technologies in the CB programme area, which can subsequently be considered as marketable products for companies in the region.

The following focus areas will be addressed:

  • High efficiency power converters - focus on power electronics converters of the highest efficiency, low weight and volume, optimisation of magnetic components, increasing the switching frequency, soft switching, semiconductors with large band gaps, power design changes,...
  • Energy storage systems - focus on battery systems as energy storage, stationary and mobile, highly efficient, support renewable energies, products for the electrification of vehicles, high-quality battery systems, charging and protection systems, battery management systems, system integration,...

  • Devices and systems for improving energy efficiency - concentration of efficient energy use in buildings and distribution grids, with intelligent and energy-efficient devices, energy generation from renewable energies, energy management and optimisation, system loads, smart grid interaction, components and system integration,...
