Improving the system efficiency of thermal networks through intelligent, data-driven load management methods

Acronym

DATADRIVENLM

Project running time

01/04/2019 - 30/09/2021

Due to their dynamic load behaviour, thermal networks are extremely complex systems and therefore difficult to optimise, which is why load management is often only demand-oriented and the measurement data provided by the control technology is rarely used for systematic operational optimisation. At the same time, advancing digitalisation is leading to cross-domain data sources with new possibilities for holistic, automated operational optimisation. New algorithms for data-driven load and forecast modelling are therefore being derived within the project and an intelligent load management system for district heating networks is being developed on this basis.
