e·nova is an annual international scientific conference organised by the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland at its Pinkafeld campus, which has been established for over a quarter of a century. It focuses on the key areas of energy, buildings and the environment, bringing together academics, experts from industry and practitioners, as well as students from Austria and abroad, for an in-depth professional exchange.

The conference is organised by the Department of Energy & Environment and addresses current challenges and potential solutions for a sustainable future, including smart energy and climate strategies, innovative building technologies, regulatory frameworks, and new technical and digital approaches to environmental protection. With a varied programme of specialist presentations, interactive sessions, workshops and discussions, e·nova provides a forum for interdisciplinary dialogue between research, practice and education.

The event also promotes knowledge transfer between universities, companies and professional stakeholders, as well as the involvement of students in current research and innovation issues. Topics such as artificial intelligence for sustainable systems, sustainability assessments, energy communities and integrated energy systems are regularly addressed.

The aim of the conference is to highlight forward-looking research findings, strengthen networks and present practical, application-oriented solutions for the climate-friendly, resource-efficient development of energy systems, buildings and environmental technologies. e·nova is organised as a Green Event and implements targeted measures to ensure the event is run in a resource-efficient, climate-friendly and sustainable manner.
