The regional programmes attempt to create awareness and know-how in the companies/municipalities/educational institutions with target group-oriented advisory services such as individual consultations, status quo analyses, workshop series and the planning and implementation of specific investment measures. Without this support, the potential for reducing energy, waste and air emissions would often remain unrecognised. The cooperation now in place with the Federal Environmental Promotion Agency has brought a new quality to the programmes. The joint approach leads to increased identification and realisation of potential for reduction, avoidance and savings.
