The Burgenland Health Days 70 PLUS are a unique preventive healthcare programme for senior citizens aged 70 and over in Austria. They combine a preventive check-up with a relaxing three-day stay at the REDUCE Health Resort Bad Tatzmannsdorf or the Retreat & Health Resort Marienkron. The programme includes body diagnostics, exercise and workshops specially tailored to the needs of older people. The aim of the initiative is to increase the health awareness of the older generation and to promote participation in preventive check-ups through an attractive incentive system.

The Burgenland University of Applied Sciences has been commissioned to evaluate the initiative in order to comprehensively map both the individual effects on participants and systemic changes, such as the promotion of preventative measures and the increase in screening participation.
