The “Health Literacy and Quality of Communication 2.0” project run by Wiener Gesundheitsförderung – WiG aims to improve health literacy and the quality of communication between healthcare staff and patients, relatives and residents. Building on a successful predecessor project, the measures are being expanded and extended to new target groups.

The University of Applied Sciences Burgenland, Department of Health & Social Sciences, has been commissioned to evaluate the “Health Literacy and Communication Quality 2.0” project. The evaluation will focus on the structural, process and outcome evaluation of the project. A multidimensional, participatory evaluation design will be employed, utilising various quantitative and qualitative methods.

The aim of the formative evaluation is to conduct a thorough analysis of the project’s effectiveness. Furthermore, continuous monitoring of implementation through timely feedback processes to the project managers is intended to support the quality of the implementation process and the further development of the project. The outcome evaluation provides insights into the achievement of project objectives and the impacts realised, as well as recommendations for sustainable implementation.
