Evaluation of the sustainability experience of pupils and teachers at the Green Tech Bio Campus

Burgenland Energie AG is currently compiling its sustainability report. The Green Tech Bio Campus at the Esterhazy Organic Estate in Donnerskirchen plays a central role in the sustainability report; here, guided tours are offered to both children and adults, showcasing innovative forms of energy generation and the sustainable use of natural resources. In particular, forward-looking technologies for generating electricity from wind and solar energy are presented, whilst at the same time focusing on sustainability, environmental protection and climate issues. Concrete input for Burgenland Energie AG’s sustainability report is to be provided through social science research. The aim is to analyse the sustainability experience of pupils and their teachers as part of a pilot initiative by Burgenland Energie AG. The initial target group will be around 200 pupils aged between eight and twelve. Further target groups include their teachers and school heads participating in the pilot initiative.
