Evaluation of the FH-Guide

Energie & Umwelt

The "FH-Guide" presents over 400 degree programmes at Austrian universities of applied sciences and provides information about providers and career opportunities. In view of technological change and changing media habits, the FH-Guide is being examined to see how it meets the needs of the target group (17 to 19-year-olds) and how it can be optimised.

Project running time

26/02/2024 - 30/04/2024

Austrian universities of applied sciences currently offer more than 400 degree programmes in the fields of business, technology, health, life sciences, social sciences, media & design and military & security. The paper-based guide "FH-Guide" presents all degree programmes, providers and career opportunities together with additional information.

Due to continuous technological progress and the associated changes in media consumption, the primary target group of 17 to 19-year-old young adults in particular is exposed to a shift in their needs. In this respect, the question arises as to what extent the current format of the "FH-Guide" meets the current requirements of the target group.

The aim of this study is to identify positively and negatively perceived elements of the "FH-Guide" and to provide corresponding recommendations for optimising the approach in terms of image, text and content. Qualitative methods are being considered for this purpose in order to ensure an appropriate depth in the statements.
