The aim of the Future_Heat_Pump project is to realise material and immaterial structural development in the field of innovative decentralised heat pump technologies, in particular taking into account new innovative approaches such as thermoelectrics, thermoacoustics and magnetocalorics. Measuring equipment and simulation software will be acquired in these areas, and experimental and numerical methods will be further developed in order to carry out in-depth research activities for heating and cooling applications in building technology. The innovation lies on the one hand in the focus on decentralised heat pumps and on the other hand in the application of the effects of thermoelectrics, thermoacoustics and magnetocalorics for cooling and heating in building services engineering.
Methodology
Experimental and numerical methods are developed, applied and validated in this project. The following methods are used in the individual subject areas:
-small heat pump
Development of a test stand for the experimental validation of decentralised micro heat pumps.
- Thermoelectrics
Development and application of a test method to characterise thermoelectric materials with regard to their efficiency in thermoelectric modules under ambient conditions and in a vacuum.
- Thermoacoustics
Development and application of a numerical method to analyse thermoacoustic heat pumps and to calculate the integration of these heat pumps into buildings.
- Magnetocalorics
Model development for the numerical validation of magnetocaloric heat pumps.
The Future_Heat_Pump project is funded by the BMWFW as part of the COIN programme.
