The multi-stage programme "KLAR! Climate Change Adaptation Model Regions" programme of the Climate and Energy Fund supports Austrian regions and municipalities in preparing for the consequences of climate change. The current 91 Austrian KLAR! regions include the model region "KLAR! Rosalia-Kogelberg" model region. In its third phase, the Burgenland municipalities of Forchtenstein, Mattersburg, Rohrbach, Draßburg, Sigleß, Pöttelsdorf, Bad Sauerbrunn and Neudörfl are jointly tackling the regional challenges of climate change. It is to be expected that the region will be affected by heavy rainfall events as well as longer periods of drought and heat.

Following a positive evaluation of the concept, the measures described therein for adapting to climate change will be implemented in the region. Forschung Burgenland supports the following measures:
