Dealing with conflicts through mediation helps to find a solution that is as profitable as possible for both (or more) parties to the conflict. An experienced team of mediators led by the Austria Centre for Peace will deal with conflicts through mediation. The aim is to establish a stronger dialogue and empower the parties to resolve conflicts themselves in the future.
The Department of Social Affairs will provide scientific support with the involvement of other organisations and groups affected by neighbourhood conflicts, such as the Oberwarter Siedlungsgenossenschaft, residents, municipalities, the judiciary and social work.
Questions regarding the establishment of a network, a pool of mediators or prevention options will be explored, as will the opportunities presented by digitalisation in the area of conflict resolution and mediation.
