On behalf of BURGEF (the Burgenland Health Fund), the Department of Health and Social Affairs is organising a preparatory course for the medical entrance examination (MedAT-H). The project involves organising and running the preparatory course. The aim of the course is to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills required for the MedAT-H entrance examination.

An interdisciplinary team, drawing on expertise from the fields of medicine, natural sciences, social sciences and psychology, has designed a comprehensive online course programme. The lectures provide in-depth knowledge in the following areas:

biology,
physics,
Mathematics,
Chemistry,
cognitive abilities and skills,
Social decision-making, recognising emotions and
Reading Comprehension.

The course is free of charge for residents of Burgenland. In the long term, this preparatory programme aims to increase the chances of young people from Burgenland gaining admission to medical school.
