The objective of "QualiBuild" is to teach skills for increasing energy efficiency in the area of plant and building performance in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in facility management. The focus is on training information and communication technology (ICT) skills and methods such as big data analyses and machine learning from the field of data science. The use of analysis and evaluation tools for the life cycle assessment (calculation methods and criteria with regard to CO2 footprint) of energy efficiency measures and the application of the methodological approach for life cycle assessment (LCA) are also key topics. Building Information Modelling (BIM) is seen in this project as a working method for the networked planning, construction and management of buildings and as a tool for the implementation of integral planning. The requirements for BIM models (target definitions, BIM execution plan) are primarily considered in the context of the preparation and provision of data and information for life cycle assessment and big data applications for analysing building performance. The content is primarily developed and taught using knowledge available from literature, textbooks and research projects that have already been carried out.
