DeRiskDH develops and demonstrates key technological and strategic solutions and innovative business models for building owners and end users to overcome the technical challenges and minimise the investment risk in alternative heat sources.
These solutions will be demonstrated and tested:
- Vienna: Innovative control algorithms will be developed and demonstrated in an innovative secondary heat network, including a local waste heat source and bidirectional operation.
- In Graz, the aim is to reduce the temperatures of the hot water network in order to increase the output of the heat pump in a new city district, with the focus on hot water production.
- In Linz, a "Quick Assessment Tool" is to be developed to estimate the optimisation potential of the building technology. Salzburg will carry out an assessment of the hydraulics of the hot water network, including cascading for a complete decarbonisation strategy.
- In Klagenfurt, the focus is on activating building flexibilisation measures, P2H and the integration of heat pumps to reduce peak loads.
