RTR-KI-2
InformationstechnologieIn cooperation with the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences and an external market research institute, the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences is conducting a study to assess the impact of AI on trust in traditional media (with special consideration of fake news) and democratic institutions and is creating an "AI monitor" in the form of a database-enabled structure.
Work package 1: AI and media trust: The already conducted qualitative study "AI in the media industry" (project 1861_RTR-KI) from the RTR study series on artificial intelligence will be repurposed for a representative quantitative survey. The primary topics are the dwindling trust of media recipients in traditional media and the expected development of this trust path with the continued use of artificial intelligence in the media industry (for the preliminary study, see Belinskaya, Y./Krone, J./Litschka, M./Roither, M./Pinzolits, R., 2024: KI in der Medienwirtschaft. Study series on artificial intelligence, Vienna: RTR GmbH).
Work package 2: AI monitor: A listing and areas of application using AI agents/guard rails in the service sector (based on Krone, J., Belinskaya, Y. et al. 2023. Plattform-Ökosystem in Österreich Evaluierung österreichischer Online-Plattformen gemäß DSA/AT, RTR-GmbH/KommAustria, Vienna) will be created. Austria's media industry is prominently highlighted in this chapter.
