The SECCRIT (SEcure Cloud computing for CRitical infrastructure IT) project is a multi-disciplinary research project that aims to analyse and evaluate cloud computing technologies in relation to security risks in sensitive environments and to develop methods, technologies and best-practice examples with which secure, reliable and highly dependable cloud computing environments can be created for security-critical infrastructure IT.

The project is classified as a small-medium sized collaborative EU-funded project in the 7th Framework Programme (FP7-SEC-2012-1). The project consortium consists of 10 partners from Austria, Finland, Germany, Greece, Spain and the UK. SECCRIT will run for three years and is funded with 3.4 million euros.

The project coordinator, Dr Markus Tauber, heads the Master's degree programme in Cloud Computing at the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences.
