SMART-UP

Business ideas are often generated and potential young entrepreneurs lack the knowledge and expertise to take up their idea and set up a company with it. This is not only a pity for the potential entrepreneurs, but for the economy as a whole. This project aims to strengthen the regional economy by offering potential young entrepreneurs sound support and creating a framework in which people interested in starting a business can develop their idea, exchange ideas with like-minded people at similar stages of development and receive practical advice on how best to "sell" and "promote" their business ideas and grow them into a functioning company. This service is to be offered to young entrepreneurs in the Austrian-Hungarian border region. The proximity to the border is seen as an additional bonus, as the entrepreneurs benefit from international opportunities at a very early stage and can network within an international start-up community.

The project includes basic counselling, coaching and mentoring and the establishment of a cross-border start-up community. The Győr-Moson-Sopron County Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the lead partner of this project (LEAD).
