The majority of energy-intensive small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are currently in the dark about how they might switch to using renewable energy sources. This is happening in the midst of an energy crisis, during which the need for SMEs to decarbonise has increased dramatically. The aim of the project is to create a pilot network of regional/national service centres to support energy-intensive SMEs in accelerating the transition to renewable energy. Such results can only be achieved through cross-border cooperation:
- A roadmap for the energy transition that takes account of the varying stages of implementation and situations of businesses.
- A model operation of green energy knowledge, operational and service centres (GEKOS) that provide services via a central channel.
A cross-border database and marketplace for green energy.
