Study on the efficiency of air source heat pump systems in different building classes

Gebäudetechnik

There is currently a clear trend towards heat pump systems for the provision of hot water and space heating. The efficiency of these systems is significantly influenced by the temperature difference between the heat source and the heat output system.

The temperature of the heat source varies depending on its type (e.g. groundwater, ground, air) and is particularly volatile in the case of air source heat pumps. The design of the heat output system and the efficiency of the building are decisive for the temperature of the heat output. In order to be able to assess the efficiency of a planned heat pump system, the parameters mentioned must therefore be taken into account. This study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the efficiency of air source heat pumps depending on the building standard and the required flow temperature.
