The main objective of this project is to assess TÜV Austria certification for the interaction principles in accordance with ISO 9241-110:2020 for an operating software system. The certification attests to compliance with internationally recognised standards for the ergonomics of human-computer interaction.
ISO 9241-110:2020 defines the requirements for interaction principles in the design of user interface software to ensure user-friendly and efficient interaction between the user and the machine. The certification is intended to ensure that the developed software meets the highest quality standards. Successful certification to ISO 9241-110:2020 not only demonstrates compliance with international standards but is also intended to strengthen user confidence in the quality and user-friendliness of the operating software.
The FHB, Department of Economics, has been commissioned to identify the relevant requirements of ISO 9241-110:2020 and to verify whether the software development process is carried out in accordance with these standards and documented accordingly. Where necessary, recommendations for any future improvements or updates to the software are documented, and a mandatory annual follow-up assessment is carried out to verify compliance with the certification criteria.
