Pellet test bench

The laboratory pelletising plant is used to test the pelletising capacity of biogenic raw materials. The achievable pellet quality depends on a number of factors, such as lignin content, water content, grain size and surface structure of the input material.

The individual process steps of the laboratory plant correspond to those of industrial pellet production with the process engineering steps of crushing, mixing, conditioning and pressing. The pellet press works according to the principle of a flat die press and has a production capacity of approx. 15 kg/h. Different matrices are available for pelletising, which are used as required depending on the input material.
