Supporting the establishment of the concept for 3 transitional flats in Burgenland and evaluating its implementation

Based on the agreement pursuant to Article 15a B-VG on shelters and support measures for women affected by violence and their children (Frauen-Schutzunterkunfts-Vereinbarung - FSchVE), 3 transitional flats are to be created in Burgenland - at least 2 flats by the end of 2024, the 3rd flat by the end of 2026. The aim is to increase the safety of women affected by violence and their children, to strengthen and empower women affected by violence and to provide targeted support for women affected by violence and their children on their path to a self-determined and violence-free life (Section 1 Art. 1 Para. 2).

The aim of the support provided by the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences for the establishment of the concept for 3 transitional homes in Burgenland is to moderate and document the experts' discussions on the necessary framework conditions for the creation of 3 transitional homes as well as the existing conditions and possibilities and to scientifically accompany the process of creation. At the end of the specified period, the benefits of the shelters will be analysed as part of an evaluation based on the specified criteria.
