Blended learning in business education - consequences after COVID-19

The project describes the consequences of online teaching after COVID-19 in 2022 and 2023 for the education of business students. It examines which experiences with online teaching can be transferred to a blended learning format, which competences, methods and tools should be retained or expanded and how the needs and responsibilities of students and teachers can be taken into account within this process. A look is also taken at how and whether universities and universities of applied sciences need to change their organisational structure (keyword: hybrid teaching) and whether the quality and training level of students in the business sector has changed as a result of online teaching.

The methodological approach includes desk research on the measures for the implementation of online teaching at the two participating institutions between 2020 and 2023, two focus groups with lecturers, two focus groups with a broader economic public, and two online surveys with the participation of lecturers and students. The aim of the project is to produce a scientific brochure, both in print and online format, which presents the results and makes recommendations for teaching in blended learning format.
